Elders

The elders of Aletheia Church serve as shepherds as they care for the church as described in 1 Peter 5, and have been called, affirmed, and installed based on the qualifications set forth in Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3.

Raymond Brown

Raymond, originally from Washington D.C., came to the Harrisonburg area as a football player at JMU. It was in 2009 he received Jesus as his Lord and Savior and shortly thereafter began attending Aletheia Church. Raymond serves as an Elder at Aletheia Church and has a passion for training and equipping others for the work of gospel ministry. He currently leads the Talent Engagement team at the University of Virginia and serves on the Board of Visitors at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Sarah and they have four beautiful children: Makenzie, Roman, Briella and Zion.

Aaron (Ace) Cosner

Aaron grew up in the valley and has been a part of Aletheia Church Harrisonburg or Aletheia Church Tampa since 2003. He is a proud Bridgewater College grad (B.A. in Philosophy and Religion) and received an M.A. in Theology from Liberty University. His greatest accomplishment was marrying April in 2006, and they have 3 children: Austin, Ailah, and Archer. He enjoys woodworking, reading, the outdoors, camping, and adventures with his wife and kids.

Mark Huffman

Mark was raised on a farm in Rockingham county and now lives in Belmont with his wife Abby and their three children: Rachel, Ryan and Charlotte. Mark graduated from Shepherd College in WV, where he played football, before returning to Harrisonburg and getting involved at Aletheia Church in 2003. He and Abby were married in 2006 and spent 2 years as missionaries in Mexico with the International Mission Board. Mark currently works in sales for Poultry Specialties. He enjoys watching football, construction projects, and spending time with his family (especially at a lake or beach).

Chris Kelty

Chris was born and raised in Louisville, KY. He and his wife Kate met as students at The University of Kentucky and were married in 2002. They moved to the area in 2006 and now live in Bridgewater with their 5 kids - John, Ben, Elijah, Jonah, and Vivian. Chris enjoys watching sports (especially the Louisville Cardinals & Chicago Cubs), reading, trying to play golf, and listening to all types of good music. They have been at Aletheia Church since 2013, where he serves as Lead Pastor.

Brandon Kiracofe

Brandon grew up on a dairy farm outside of Bridgewater, and now lives in Bridgewater with his wife Ann and their three kids: Reece, Dillan, and Keilan. He currently serves as the Regional Director for the Department of Environmental Quality's Valley Regional Office. He enjoys working outside, whether it be yardwork or other construction projects (but only when the weather is nice). He also enjoys watching college football and is a big Virginia Tech Hokies fan. He has been at Aletheia Church since 2002.

Joey Testa

Joey was born and raised in West Virginia, but his family moved to the Shenandoah Valley when he was in the 8th grade. In 2007, Joey moved to Harrisonburg to play music with some friends & that’s when one of his band mates invited him to Aletheia Church. He has been attending ever since (with the exception of a year spent back in Shenandoah County as a Sunday School teacher). Joey currently works as a store manager for Sheetz, which is where he and his wife Caitlin met in 2008. They got married in 2011 and have three kids: Magnolia, Winston, and Edwin. Joey loves discussing theology, apologetics & world religions. He also really enjoys listening to music, working out & playing video games.
