"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." Hebrews 10:24-25
We would love for you to join us at our weekly worship service! We meet every Sunday in the auditorium of Eastern Mennonite High School. We will have signs on campus directing you where to park, and greeters will meet you at the door to point you in the right direction. We truly believe that church is a family that has been formed and is not merely an event to be attended. When you attend on a Sunday morning, see below for what you can expect:
- Coffee is available in the lobby.
- People dress as they would any other place. For some, this means dressing up, while others come in jeans and a t-shirt!
- Our service lasts about an hour and a half and includes:
- singing: theologically sound, contemporary music, including modern arrangements of classic hymns.
- scripture readings: we use the ESV Bible translation on Sundays. If you don't have one, we have plenty on hand and would love to give you one!
- preaching: in depth, expository teaching of the Bible.
- corporate prayer
- reflection & communion
- Aletheia Jr. classes (for children ages 4 months-5th grade) meet most Sundays, focused on pointing them to Jesus. The last Sunday of the month, children in 1st through 5th grades join the main service for Family Worship. We provide a snack and activity bag!
- Aletheia Youth meet during the service one Sunday a month. For more details, visit the Events tab.
