Child Dedications & Parent Commissioning

We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. Psalm 78.4

During Child Dedications, parents commit (with God's help) to loving and raising their child in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6.4). During this service, the church body also commits (with God's help) to receive these children in love, pray for them, help to instruct them in the faith, and encourage and sustain them in this fellowship of believers.

The Parent Commissioning Class is a single-session class, offered a couple of times a year. This class is a time of equipping, fellowship, encouragement, and support. We'll look at what the Bible has to say about parenting and discuss how our church specifically partners with you throughout every stage of your child's life.
- While attending the Parent Commissioning Class isn't a requirement in order to have your child dedicated, we highly encourage parents to attend.

We celebrate Child Dedications every three months on a Family Worship Sunday. Please see the calendar for the next time dedications are scheduled. If you're interested in participating in the class or child dedications, contact April Cosner.
