HOW THE GOSPEL CREATES, SHAPES, AND EMPOWERS A CULTURE OF SERVICE
Following Jesus and serving others go hand in hand. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45) Jesus said that he gave his life to redeem a people for his own possession who love to serve others just as he did (cf. Titus 2:14). So instead of living selfishly, we put others first, love others more than ourselves, and sacrifice our time, energy, and money to help others.
As a church body, we gather together each week to celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. In order to be able to do this, we have many amazing, selfless, people that serve in a variety of capacities so that we can come together and worship.
